Leadership - What's Trust
Got
To Do With It?

Scenario B

Program Manager A has been requested to open a Family Literacy Program in an urban housing development. Program Manager A calls in a lead teacher who will be given the responsibility of setting up the program. This teacher has successfully opened programs in the past and has the necessary skills to make this new project successful. The Program Manager informs the teacher that biweekly meetings and daily updates will be required on the status of the program.

Program Manager B has been requested to open a Workplace Literacy Program at a local hotel chain. Program Manager B asks one of the newer staff members to oversee the initiation of this new project. This staff member has an extensive background in workplace literacy, specifically in setting up programs for those individuals who have a lack of workplace literacy skills. The teacher is asked to provide a weekly update, but is assured that the manager is available if needed to answer questions or provide assistance.
