GED Beyond the Basics Lesson Plans
This book includes twenty-four lesson plans. Eight plans have been developed for each of the following academic areas: mathematics, writing, and reading. The Florida GED: Beyond the Basics lesson plans provide the teacher with a beginning step to implementing the pedagogy that supports the Florida GED: Beyond the Basics model.

An excellent website that allows you to create lots of free worksheets. It is divided by grade level and has an excellent vocabulary builder section. This is good material that can be sent home with students who don't have a lot of in class time. It could be used for GED, ABE or ESL depending on the grade level you choose.

The quizzes on this web site are designed to improve reading comprehension, build vocabulary and sharpen grammar skills.  The grammar, vocabulary, and writing quizzes give the user a quick assessment of eight basic skill questions.  The ESL reading quizzes have six questions.  The other reading quizzes have three texts with six questions per text.  They give the user an assessment of three basic reading skills.
