Task Forces Fill Meeting with a Flurry of
Activity
The final Practitioners' Task Force meeting
for 2007-08 was held on Friday, April 18 at
the Comfort Inn Conference Center in Mount Pleasant.
All those present were busy attending to the
business at hand: finalizing 07-08 projects
and brainstorming projects for 08-09. The minutes
of each meeting are attached.
A priority item on every Task Force agenda
was the up-coming Adult Education Summer Workshops.
Each Task Force is preparing to provide a full-day
workshop during August. Workshops are being
designed to address issues and interests that
are important to Michigan's Adult Educators.
Note: details regarding the Summer Workshops
will be made available via the Office of Adult
Education's listserve and will be posted on
the MAEPD website at www.maepd.org.
Year five of the Michigan Practitioners' Task
Force has truly been an exciting one! Each of
the 4 meetings was attended by 40-50 leaders
in Adult Ed and Literacy from around the State.
The agendas were always packed and the individual
meetings were "powered" by creative
energy and excitement on the part of all in
attendance.
