The English as a Second Language Adult Professional Advisory Committee is an advisor to the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth, Division of Life-Long Learning, Office of Adult Education.
The ESL Professional Advisory Committee is composed of ESL Adult Educators from across Michigan. It seeks to provide ESL adult educators with a greater sense of cohesiveness through a forum for discussions; to increase the awareness of ESL adult educators as well as the larger community of issues related to ESL; to provide a resource for the sharing of ideas, information, and state requirements for ESL; and to make available to ESL educators opportunities for professional development.
All districts with adult ESL programs are invited to send a representative to be on the committee. Please check our calendar for meeting dates and times.
