Ron
Froman is the President of National Human
Resources Development (NHRD), Inc. and manages the MAEPD
project. Mr. Froman has extensive experience in administering
adult education programs. Prior to his development of FHRD,
he was the administrator for adult and community education
programs in Orange County, Florida. Bonnie
Goonen is a nationally recognized adult education
trainer who has worked extensively at the local, state,
and national level. In 2001, Ms. Vondracek was selected
as a national GED Trainer by the USDOE and GED Testing Service.
During her 19-year tenure in Osceola County, Florida, Ms.
Vondracek administered technical, adult, and alternative
education programs. Ms. Vondracek is responsible for the
design and development of the professional development components
that will be offered through the MAEPD training institutes
and web-based training modules. Debra
Hargrove, Ed.D.,
is a web developer and trainer who has worked with adult
learners for over 20 years. Dr. Hargrove developed Florida
TechNet, a website devoted to the professional development
needs of adult educators. Dr. Hargrove serves as the Webmaster
for the MAEPD website and is the chief programmer for web-based
training modules that will be hosted on the site. Rochelle
Kenyon, Ed.D., is a nationally certified Bridges to Practice trainer with
extensive experience in working with adults with learning
disabilities. Dr. Kenyon served as an adult education administrator
in Broward County, Florida for more than 20 years. Over
the past three years, Dr. Kenyon has conducted Bridges to
Practice training at the local, state, and national level.
Dr. Kenyon serves as the Bridges to Practice Training Coordinator
for MAEPD and also designs and conducts training for adult
educators on modifying instruction for students with disabilities. Tony Lagos is currently the CEO of Effective Training Solutions, a company specializing in Adult Education/ESOL training and development. When Florida's Adult Education Program was reorganized in 1997 into the Division of Workforce Development Tony served on the Commissioner's Task Force to implement Performance Based Funding. From 1998 - 2001 he was the facilitator of the Adult ESOL Task Force as that group prepared content standards and other resource documents necessary to support Adult ESOL programs struggling to implement performance-based funding statewide. His experience in Adult Education and ESOL spans over 30 years. Lennox
McLendon, Ed.D., is the Executive Director
of the National Adult Education Professional Development
Consortium (NAEPDC) Dr. McLendon has extensive experience
in designing and delivering professional development components
to teachers and administrators at the local, state, and
national level and was a State Director for Adult Education
prior to his appointment as NAEPDC Executive Director. Susan
Pittman-Shetler is a nationally recognized
adult education trainer who has worked extensively at the
local, state, and national level. In 2001, Ms Pittman was
selected as a national GED Trainer by the USDOE and GED
Testing Service. Ms. Pittman served as the manager of adult
education in Palm Beach County, Florida for more than 15
years. As MAEPD Project Coordinator, Ms. Pittman is responsible
for overseeing the design, development, and implementation
of all professional development activities that will be
offered through the project. Kathi
Polis has over
30 years of experience in adult education as a former teacher,
local program director, state staff, and state director
in West Virginia. She works with a number of state and national
organizations on a variety of adult education initiatives
including marketing, professional development, leadership,
managed enrollment, technology, resource development, training
design, and classroom management. Kathi was instrumental
in spearheading a comprehensive professional development
system for the state's 250+ teachers and a statewide curriculum
effort resulting in standardized competencies, performance
descriptors, and benchmark tasks.
